on Saturday, August 2, 2014 Lets do handicaps again. We need to know how they will be applied. Per game or per team. will they be used in the cups. Will there still be an aggregate. Will they be reassessed early on in the season to allow players doing well or badly to be rehandicapped. The current years stats will easily inform you of this. on Sunday, August 3, 2014 the games will be played with individual handicaps applied. the same points system apply as previous seasons. 1 point per frame and 2 points for the team who wins the total aggregate. the handicaps will remain until the halfway handicap review point which is on friday 2nd january 2015. no cup games will be played before this date, that way we can review how well the handicap system is working and work out a format which the cup games will be played this season. the jimmy burke cup will be contested at the end of the league season between the bottom 8 teams in the league table, so it will start at the 1/4 final stage. |
