on Friday, May 31, 2013 To Heath Hall and Woolton cons, what a fantastic match, of drama and good sportsmanship by both sets of teams last night, it was a joy to ref the match. Woolton cons getting off to a great start by winning the first two frames and moving twenty five ahead on the h'cap, however Heath came storming back in the third frame with a massive win and thirty four break by S. Thorpe, Game oN!. The next frame went tight and nothing in it, leaving Heath hall twenty pts ahead going into the final frame..it went to a balck ball fight, with both players having a good go at it untill Mike Hartley took a breath and smashed a great shot into the bottom pcket giving victory to this years Cunningham cup to the lads from Woolton Cons, well done guys, great win and well done Heath!, im sure you will be back in a final soon enough...which just brings me onto one final detail.. :) Mike Hartley, has played in this league since the wheel was invented..well pre eighties anyway ;) lol, and last night was a great achievement for him personally as he had last won a cup or trophy, in 1982! and that is not becasue hes a poor player, this guy could give anyone a decent game back in the day lol (soz mate ;) ), but i just wanted to congratulate him, as hes a great fella and has turned out for this league for well over,.. you can work it out guys! :) well done Mike, made up for you fella :) |
