Changes made to the League at the 2017 AGM
Over the last 2 seasons the B League had a rule that allowed 4 players to play a match in the league without penalty. This has now been applied to A League teams as well. The league remains 5 single frames, ideally played by 5 different players but a team may now play a match with only 4 players if needed without penalty. The 5th frame is played by the player picked by the opposing captain from the 4 players who turned up for the match. There is no limit to the number of times you may play with 4 players over the course of a season.
B League Teams who gain promotion from the B league and disband at the end of the season are not allowed to reform with more than 2 of their original players the following season and be classed as a new B league team, regardless of potential change of venue etc. If a team wishes to start back up with 3 or more of the original team they will be promoted as if they were the same team as the previous season. Teams can not sign on previous team members during the season if it means they will have more than 2 signed on from the previous team. |
