Rules
Meetings will be held as and when required at 19.30 All teams must have an email address and telephone number for league correspondence purposes. Entry to the league £80. £40 to be paid prior to the start of the season, normally mid September, remainder to be paid by 1st January. Singles £3 per person. Doubles £5 per pair to be paid prior to first round draws being made. At least two weeks before first games played all team captains to submit players names with what they believe is a fair handicap. The handicap is what the player will be giving away. Handicaps will not be capped plus or minus, but the maximum a single player can give away is 55. Players handicaps whose handicaps go above 70 will be capped at 70 for matches. Handicaps to be agreed on by a committee nominated at AGM. Handicaps to be adjusted weekly. Any player playing off wrong handicap, not giving away correct start will loose the game. Singles and doubles to be played with the current players handicap at the start of each round. The team knockout and aggregated knockout dates are fixed dates and the fixture must be played by that date. If a team fails to fulfil the fixture by the fixed date, they will be eliminated from the completion. All players must be registered before the halfway mark of the season and have played one game to qualify for singles, doubles and team knockout competitions. All players must have played three games to be eligible to play in the semi finals and final of the team knockout competitions. Doubles handicaps players handicaps to be added together then halved. All players entering doubles and singles must give a contact number at time of entry. All doubles and singles to be played within one month of each round drawn, if not to be dealt with by the league. Home team to text or email result before Thursday 5pm or will be deemed to have lost 4-0 and fined £5. A game must be called off 24 hours prior to the game if not it the team failing to turn up will be find £20. The game must be played within two weeks. If it is the home team that fails to turn up they must play the game at the opponents venue. If without prior notice a team is not ready to play there first game by 19.45 they will loose the first frame. The draw will still take place in the normal manner prior to the start. If a team turns up with only 3 players, the player drawn out to play the 4th frame will add 10 to their handicap, this can only happen a maximum of 3 times in a season . A delegate from each team to attend meetings or team will be find £5. A team will be allowed to miss 2 meeting per season provided apologises have been received prior to meeting. If there are outstanding fines a team will be barred from winning the league or team knockout, also players from that team will not be able to play in the doubles or singles until the fine is paid. If the fine is not paid by the cut of date for the next round draw for the team knockout the team will be disqualified and like wise doubles and singles players they will be disqualified. Dates to be pre set when draws will take place. At the start of a new season a player will start off the handicap they finished the last time they played in the league. NEW. A team winning a league game 4-0 will be added a extra 1 point bonus.
