| INDIVIDUALS & PAIRS COMP 2021-22 NOTES & RULES FOR MAKING CONTACT 1) All entrants CHECK your contact details & make sure they are correct, check texts & if you have voice mail check for messages. 2) If your contact details are incorrect you will be scratched from the comp. 3) If you have an E : Mail address please forward these via E : Mail to Bob Stapley on bobtiltd@aol.com 4) Home players (odd numbers) must make contact by the the closing date on the draw sheets or this will result in loss of home advantage & 10 points deducted from score. DO NOT LEAVE IT TO THE LAST MINUTE AS THIS WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS. 5) If the contact number has voice mail leave a message & give 24 hrs for a response, if there is no reply let us know ASAP. If the contact number is a mobile send a text message, again if no reply, do not leave it, let us know ASAP. Offer up to 3 reasonable alternative dates and days for playing the match, if agreement cannot be reached, let us know sooner rather than later and we will try to help. N.B. WEEKEND DATES SHOULD NOT INCLUDED & THESE ONLY BE OFFERED AS A LAST OPTION & BY AGREEMENT OF BOTH PARTIES. 6) If the home player has not made contact AND OR arrangements have NOT been made by the closing date, the away player should advise the comp organisers as below and then attempt to make contact by Friday following the contact closing date & offer options to play the match. 7) In the event of problems or disputes the comp organisers will endeavour to resolve these. Club team captains & club delegates please be prepared to assist the comp organisers in these matters. 8) If you have transport issues getting to clubs THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM NOT OURS !! 9) The 10 minute late start rule (as used in the league) applies from the commencement of the arranged match time. 10) The decisions & rulings of the comp organisers in matters of dispute will be final. 11) PLAYERS HANDICAPS TO BE USED ARE THOSE AS PUBLISHED ON THE LEAGUE WEBSITE AT THE TIME OF THE MATCH START. HOWEVER THERE WILL BE A MAX CAP OF 60 POINTS WHEN THE POINTS DIFFERENCE EXCEEDS THAT e.g. A.N.OTHER (H/CAP 32) vs A TOP PLAYER (H/CAP-65) THIS WOULD BE A DIFFERENCE OF 97, BUT IT IS CAPPED @ 60. 12) We have allowed entrants from different clubs to play in the pairs this year & the home venue will be that of the primary listed player on the paper list & on the website. 13) Results are better sent by text or Email (to ensure a record is kept) CONTACT DETAILS FOR COMP ORGANISERS :- Bob Stapley = Tel : 0787 66 88 995 or E:Mail : bobtiltd@aol.com Good luck to all entrants & have a good competition this year |
